Summary
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for coordinating the flow of inventory from production through delivery at a divisional or brand level. This role focuses on optimizing purchase decisions and inventory flow to meet customer demand while supporting financial targets for revenue and profitability.

The ideal candidate has experience in retail or wholesale planning or replenishment, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee production requirements across business units and the broader division
  • Recommend purchase quantities for replenishment items based on demand trends and optimal inventory positioning
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, and operations) to review and approve production orders
  • Manage and monitor Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans to ensure alignment with forecasts and business objectives
  • Analyze and model OTB scenarios to support strategic decision-making
  • Provide forward-looking projections to sourcing teams across distribution channels
  • Forecast material requirements to support production planning and inventory positioning
  • Support product lifecycle and purchasing processes, including timelines and execution milestones
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure inventory levels align with warehouse capacity
  • Track and evaluate replenishment program performance across product categories

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with merchandising teams to identify opportunities for assortment and product efficiencies
  • Work with sales and planning teams to assess slow-moving or excess inventory and recommend actions
  • Contribute to demand planning strategies, including key items and core replenishment programs
  • Support ongoing business planning by providing insights and recommendations on inventory and demand

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in retail math and Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in retail or wholesale planning, buying, or replenishment
  • Proven ability to analyze performance and recommend strategies to improve results
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
