Role Overview
A leading global FMCG client is seeking a Supply / Demand Planner to join their Helsinki-based planning team. This role sits at the heart of end-to-end planning, balancing demand signals with supply capabilities to ensure optimal service levels, inventory health, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced consumer environment.
You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics, contributing to a robust S&OP/IBP process while supporting continuous improvement across forecasting and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, promotions, and sales input
- Translate demand plans into feasible supply plans, aligning with production, procurement, and capacity constraints
- Manage inventory levels to optimise availability while minimising obsolescence and excess stock
- Actively participate in S&OP / IBP cycles, preparing insights, scenarios, and recommendations
- Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and KPIs, driving corrective actions where required
- Collaborate closely with commercial, customer, and supply teams to manage risks and opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, tools, and data quality
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning, or integrated planning within FMCG or consumer goods
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Hands-on experience with ERP and planning tools (e.g. SAP, APO, IBP, or similar)
- Solid understanding of S&OP / IBP processes and cross-functional working
- Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable challenging assumptions and influencing decisions
- Fluent in English; Finnish is a plus but not required
