Technical Manager

Position Summary

Drive continuous improvement and sustainment of processes. Build strong cross-functional partnerships with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing teams. Demonstrate expertise in equipment and process planning, budgeting, and concurrent engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support achievement of production volume, premium paint quality, cost targets, and safety goals.
  • Develop and enforce standards and process policies.
  • Create and maintain Process Control Plans.
  • Lead launch activities and trials in collaboration with Product and Plant Engineering.
  • Design and deliver training programs for production team members.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new tools, equipment, and processes to enhance quality and labor efficiency.
  • Balance safety, quality, throughput, cost, and workforce management to maximize value for both customers and the company.
  • Participate in continuous improvement workshops and recommend actions to enhance product and process quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Operations, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in painted parts production.
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
  • Strong team orientation, adaptability, and communication skills.
