Location: Territory ownership of Utah, Colorado, Arizona & Kansas
Travel: Approximately 50%

A leading provider of environmental and supply chain solutions is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales growth across a multi-state territory. With more than a century of industry leadership, the organization partners with municipalities, waste haulers, recyclers, and environmental service providers to deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, sustainability, and asset management.

The company combines manufacturing expertise with technology-enabled solutions, including RFID tracking, GPS-based asset management, deployment services, maintenance programs, and recovery solutions.

Position Overview

The Territory Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers throughout the assigned territory. This is a highly consultative sales role focused on helping customers solve operational challenges, optimize resource management, reduce costs, and achieve sustainability goals.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial sales professional who enjoys owning a territory, building long-term customer relationships, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan focused on both new business development and account expansion.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities with municipalities, waste haulers, recyclers, environmental service providers, and other target customers.
  • Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand customer needs and recommend tailored operational and environmental solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposal development, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across operations, manufacturing, marketing, customer experience, and implementation to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecast business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximize customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings throughout the territory.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling, territory management, and business development.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage complex sales cycles, and close new business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and developing strategic account plans.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently within a large geographic territory.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% - VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
