Vice President of Operations
Job Summary:
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the company's data center facilities. This executive role ensures operational excellence, scalability, and reliability across all infrastructure and service delivery functions. The VP of Operations will lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and implement best practices to support growth, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage data center operations, including facility management, network infrastructure, and service delivery.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and industry standards.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data center services.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization across operational departments.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for equipment, services, and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure management.
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including cooling, power, networking, and cloud services.
- Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
