Director of Finance Operations
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance Operations to lead and optimize our financial processes across manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring financial discipline, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making within a fast-paced CPG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in finance operations, cost accounting, and performance management, with a proven track record in the consumer packaged goods industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Partner with operations leadership to drive cost efficiency, margin improvement, and capital investment decisions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Operational Finance
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing processes.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational KPIs and financial metrics.
Process Optimization & Controls
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools.
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance across manufacturing finance operations.
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline financial workflows.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Commercial teams.
- Provide financial insights to support product costing, pricing strategies, and SKU rationalization.
- Support strategic projects including capacity expansion, M&A, and ERP implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, with at least 5 years in CPG manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and supply chain economics.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel/financial modeling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
