VP Procurement Operations (P2P)
The Vice President of Procurement Operations & Procure to Pay is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and purchasing to payment and supplier management. This role ensures the efficient and effective operation of procurement activities, driving cost savings, compliance, and process improvements. The VP will lead a team of procurement professionals and collaborate with various departments to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on cost savings, quality, and efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the procure-to-pay process, ensuring seamless operations from requisition to payment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, including selection, negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk management, to ensure optimal value and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards, and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
- Technology and Innovation: Leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance procurement processes, including the implementation of procurement software and automation tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills; proven ability to manage complex procurement operations; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPP (Certified Procurement Professional) are a plus.
