Warehouse Manager
A growing manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material flow activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials and finished goods while driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and customer service performance. Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control activities.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels through effective processes, cycle counting, and physical inventory management.
- Coordinate inventory transfers and maintain inventory accuracy across facilities and storage locations.
- Monitor product handling, returns, damaged materials, and inventory transactions to ensure operational integrity.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow throughout the facility.
Logistics & Customer Service
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support operational requirements.
- Serve as a key liaison between operations, customer service, and warehouse functions.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met.
- Support on-time and accurate fulfillment while minimizing inventory and shipping-related issues.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement best practices to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and warehouse processes.
- Monitor warehouse facilities, equipment, and assets to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Support initiatives focused on organization, cleanliness, and overall workplace effectiveness.
Reporting & Financial Management
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics and prepare operational reports.
- Support budget planning and cost management initiatives.
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and drive decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and distribution operations.
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, and warehouse management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
