Lead inventory strategy for a globally recognized consumer products organization.
We're partnering with a growing international company seeking a Director of Inventory Management to oversee inventory strategy across distribution and fulfillment operations. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for inventory accuracy, internal controls, operational efficiency, and inventory optimization. You'll work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams while building best-in-class inventory processes across a complex global network.
What You'll Own
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide inventory management strategies
- Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and reduction of excess and obsolete stock
- Lead cycle count programs, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory audits
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and support financial reporting requirements
- Own inventory-related SOX controls and maintain compliance with internal and external audit standards
- Develop inventory dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting tools
- Establish inventory governance, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Review inventory adjustments, write-offs, scrap transactions, and inventory controls
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and IT to optimize ERP and inventory management systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization and operational excellence
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing inventory management team
What We're Looking For
**Must have experience in Consumer Goods or 3PLS **
- 10+ years of inventory management, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing inventory control or warehouse operations teams
- Strong inventory control expertise within distribution centers, fulfillment, or warehouse environments
- Experience managing cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and audits
- Knowledge of SOX controls, inventory valuation, and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred
