My clint is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Electrical Engineer to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems within the facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in medium and low voltage electrical systems, including substation distribution. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the facility's electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and oversee the installation and maintenance of medium and low voltage electrical systems.
- Manage substation distribution systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and performance standards.
- Conduct electrical load analysis and recommend upgrades or adjustments to meet facility power needs.
- Collaborate with external contractors and internal teams to ensure project success, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Develop and maintain electrical maintenance programs, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Lead the installation of new electrical equipment, ensuring proper operation and integration with existing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and training to the maintenance team and other relevant personnel.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and recommend strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, including schematics, one-line diagrams, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering with a focus on medium and low voltage electrical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of substation distribution systems, electrical design principles, and power distribution.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, NEC).
- Experience with electrical load analysis, circuit design, and power systems control.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
