We have a current opportunity for a Global Sourcing Category Manager on a permanent basis for a cloud infrastructure company. The position will be based in Taiwan.
About you:
- 15+ years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing.
- Strong willingness to set-up and build the team from scratch.
- Strong eagerness to be a part of the next generation start-up technology.
- Has strong Taiwan supplier connections.
- Preferred to have industry exposure in cloud infrastructure/ electronics/ semi-conductors and Data Centres.
- Background working in or with suppliers of ODM/OEMs.
- Experienced in leading supply chain operations from ground-up.
- Executed large-scale operations, ensured timely deliveries.
- Proficient in English language skills.
- Based in Taiwan.
About the role:
- Help execute, set-up and built efficient sourcing processes.
- Be the supply chain support for the cloud infrastructure, delivering on right time, quality and quantity.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the right parts for servers, PCBs, networking devices at the best prices and quality.
- Teach processes to suppliers dealing with the new technology components.
- Define frameworks and standards for quality goods.
- Utilise expertise to solve unforeseen complex problems on a large scale.
