The Opportunity
As a Project Freight Forwarder, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of project logistics solutions for oversized, heavy-lift, and complex cargo movements.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, and transport partners, you will manage shipments from initial enquiry through to successful delivery, ensuring a high level of service and operational excellence throughout the process.
You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates, solving challenges proactively, and ensuring every project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate project cargo, oversized, and heavy-lift shipments
- Manage the end-to-end operational execution of customer orders
- Arrange and book multimodal transport solutions
- Prepare and manage all relevant shipping and transport documentation
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and logistics partners
- Proactively communicate shipment updates and resolve operational issues
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and identify opportunities to enhance service offerings
- Ensure accurate processing of shipments within CargoWise and internal systems
- Drive continuous improvements to processes and customer experience
What We're Looking For
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or project logistics
- Previous experience handling project cargo, oversized, out-of-gauge (OOG), or heavy-lift shipments
- Strong understanding of international transport and forwarding operations
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach to problem solving
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
