Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for complex, high-value commodities supporting secure infrastructure, defense systems, and advanced technology environments. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of critical systems across government, defense, and commercial projects.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership

  • Own procurement strategy for key categories including:
    • Electronic Security Systems (access control, surveillance, intrusion detection)
    • Telecommunications Infrastructure (fiber optics, wireless, unified communications)
    • Defense & MIL-SPEC Components (ruggedized electronics, secure comms)
    • IT Systems (servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools)
    • Smart Infrastructure & Automation (IoT, AV, building controls)
  • Conduct market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.

2. Supplier & Contract Management

  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for performance, compliance, and innovation.
  • Negotiate complex contracts including NDAs, SLAs, and long-term agreements.
  • Ensure alignment with federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, CPSR).

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Legal, and Compliance teams to align procurement with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Support proposal teams with accurate pricing, lead times, and risk assessments.

4. Risk Mitigation & Compliance

  • Monitor geopolitical, cybersecurity, and supply chain risks.
  • Ensure procurement activities meet internal audit and federal compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of procurement experience in defense, critical infrastructure, or high-tech sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement practices and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA MAS, OASIS II).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ePOL).
