Quality Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Assigns and prioritizes tasks for inspection personnel to meet production schedules.
- Manages staffing logistics including scheduling, vacation coverage, and absences.
- Cross-trains team members to maintain flexibility and ensure workflow continuity.
- Oversees inspection processes, investigates non-conformances, and implements corrective and preventive actions.
- Acts as a technical liaison between inspection and manufacturing teams regarding specifications and inspection methods.
- Provides daily updates on inspection queue status to site leadership.
- Collaborates with the Quality Manager to improve inspection procedures and may lead special projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and cost control.
- Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and applying results to corrective actions.
- Familiarity with industry and customer quality codes and standards.
- Experience managing calibrated tools and systems.
- Skilled in quality control techniques for aerospace manufacturing.
- Analytical ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Proven leadership in managing inspection teams across multiple stations.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and align priorities across teams.
- Capable of managing multiple inspection queues and reporting status consistently.
- Demonstrated success in handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
