Quality Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Assigns and prioritizes tasks for inspection personnel to meet production schedules.
  • Manages staffing logistics including scheduling, vacation coverage, and absences.
  • Cross-trains team members to maintain flexibility and ensure workflow continuity.
  • Oversees inspection processes, investigates non-conformances, and implements corrective and preventive actions.
  • Acts as a technical liaison between inspection and manufacturing teams regarding specifications and inspection methods.
  • Provides daily updates on inspection queue status to site leadership.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Manager to improve inspection procedures and may lead special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong understanding of raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and cost control.
  • Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and applying results to corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with industry and customer quality codes and standards.
  • Experience managing calibrated tools and systems.
  • Skilled in quality control techniques for aerospace manufacturing.
  • Analytical ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership in managing inspection teams across multiple stations.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and align priorities across teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple inspection queues and reporting status consistently.
  • Demonstrated success in handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
