DSJ Global is currently partnered with a high-growth electrical distributor looking to bring on a new VP of Sales.
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to join their Sales Management Team. This leadership role is responsible for guiding and developing Outside Sales Associates within a designated district, maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving sales growth across the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents and Branch Managers to align sales efforts with strategic objectives.
- Maximize sales volume while optimizing cost efficiency and enhancing competitive positioning.
- Foster relationships with key suppliers and manage strategic accounts as needed.
- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies, including long-term and short-term planning.
- Support new product initiatives by aligning marketing and sales goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and within the broader community.
- Inspire and coach the sales team to achieve peak performance, ensuring effective use of training and development resources.
- Facilitate collaboration between outside sales and product managers to achieve shared goals.
- Directly manage all Outside Sales Representatives within the district.
- Develop sales forecasts and gross profit targets, and participate in district-level strategic planning.
- Promote teamwork across sales, customer service, and operations within the region.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Report and document any safety incidents or concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in achieving sales results and leading teams.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and strategic vision.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned district.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales leadership.
