Overview: We are seeking a Senior Wiring and Harness Engineer to design intricate electrical wiring harnesses for various harness families. This role requires expertise in software such as Saber and Creo, and involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to create harness drawings that meet analytical electrical requirements for power distribution and protection within a complex system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced electrical wiring harness solutions, including both 2D drawings and schematics, as well as 3D harness design tasks.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for products.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all wiring harness releases in line with Volvo standards.
- Analyze input data and ensure timely release of designs.
- Lead wiring design activities, including time planning and providing technical expertise, in collaboration with other wiring and packaging engineers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and aftermarket teams, product finance, buyers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Support both current and new production design projects.
- Promote continuous improvement in processes, products, and team organization.
Qualifications:
- B.S Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years Electrical Engineering experience
- Knowledge of development process for wiring harness
- Experience with Saber and/or Creo
