As part of its continued expansion in Northern Italy, the company is strengthening its commercial footprint in Turin, a key industrial hub with strong automotive, manufacturing, and export-driven industries.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join the Turin branch, with a clear focus on winning new business and driving revenue growth across the region.

This is a front-line, client-facing role suited to a commercially driven professional with a strong network and a passion for developing new opportunities in freight forwarding.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new clients across Turin and the wider Piedmont region
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal closure

Commercial Growth

  • Promote and sell integrated logistics solutions across air, ocean, and road freight
  • Develop tailored proposals to meet complex supply chain requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to maximise profitability

Client Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Act as a trusted advisor on logistics and transport solutions
  • Ensure a smooth handover to operations and support ongoing client development

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Identify growth opportunities within key sectors (automotive, industrial, engineering, etc.)

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with pricing, operations, and customer service teams
  • Ensure efficient onboarding and high service levels for new customers

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales (air, ocean and/or road)
  • Strong track record in new business acquisition (hunter mindset)
  • Knowledge of the Turin / Piedmont market and key industry sectors
  • Existing network of clients and contacts is highly advantageous
  • Commercially driven, target-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a defined territory
  • Fluent in Italian and English
