Overview

A growing organization in the construction/energy space is seeking a highly organized Sales & Proposal Development Coordinator to support proposal creation, procurement efforts, and business development initiatives. This role blends RFP/proposal management, project coordination, and client-facing outreach to drive growth and strengthen relationships.


Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development & RFP Management

  • Manage end-to-end RFP/RFQ/bid responses, ensuring compliance and on-time submission
  • Identify and track new opportunities across procurement platforms
  • Analyze solicitation requirements and develop tailored, persuasive proposal content
  • Prepare and assemble all submission materials, including pricing, forms, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain proposal templates, content libraries, and past submissions

Business Development & Outreach

  • Support growth initiatives through networking, outreach, and relationship building
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and community functions to increase visibility
  • Conduct outreach to prospective and existing clients to identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams on lead generation and client engagement strategies

Project Coordination & Content Management

  • Lead proposal kickoff meetings and manage timelines and deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal teams (PMs, SMEs, marketing) to gather required inputs
  • Track active pursuits, deadlines, and follow-ups
  • Maintain organized content repositories and shared resources

Writing & Quality Control

  • Develop and edit proposals and related materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ensure all submissions align with internal standards and procurement requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP development, or technical writing
  • Background in construction, infrastructure, or energy-related industries preferred
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and government RFP structures
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and document management tools
