Title: Assistant Plant Manager

Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 per year

Company Summary:

DSJ Global is partnered with a large, well‑established manufacturing organization operating a highly complex, continuous‑process facility within a regulated environment. The organization is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to support overall site leadership and oversee day‑to‑day operations and maintenance at a major manufacturing site in the Pacific Northwest. This role will be instrumental in driving plant performance, developing leadership capability, and advancing safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

The Assistant Plant Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing daily leadership across production and maintenance in a continuous‑process manufacturing environment
  • Aligning Operations and Maintenance teams around safety, reliability, and performance objectives
  • Developing supervisors and managers while driving accountability and continuous improvement
  • Leading reliability initiatives, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Identifying operational gaps and driving improvements in throughput, efficiency, and asset performance
  • Partnering with Engineering, Safety, and other support functions to ensure operational excellence

The ideal Assistant Plant Manager will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
  • Progressive leadership experience within paper, pulp, fiber‑based manufacturing, chemical processing, refining, or similar process industries
  • Experience leading leaders in large, asset‑intensive manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of reliability, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement principles
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence frontline teams and site leadership
