Demand Planner
A growing consumer-focused organization is seeking a Demand Planner to support forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain planning activities. This role partners closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, improve planning processes, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business inputs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to incorporate sales initiatives, promotional activity, and market intelligence into demand plans.
- Support forecast reviews and consensus planning activities to align business priorities and operational requirements.
- Monitor product lifecycle changes, including new product introductions and product transitions.
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze forecast performance and identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
- Track and communicate key forecasting and inventory performance indicators.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with supply planning, procurement, finance, sales, and marketing teams to align demand plans with business objectives.
- Support inventory planning efforts through timely and accurate forecasting information.
- Identify potential supply and inventory risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Maintain and improve demand planning tools, systems, and reporting processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Assist in developing planning processes, documentation, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using forecasting methodologies.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP, planning, forecasting, or inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
