Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent
Position Overview
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading industrial manufacturing organization that is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent to provide strategic leadership for mechanical maintenance operations within a large-scale manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of maintenance professionals in a highly complex manufacturing environment and play a key role in achieving operational and reliability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop maintenance supervisors, planners, and skilled trades personnel.
- Drive reliability and maintenance strategies to improve equipment uptime and operational performance.
- Manage preventative, predictive, and precision maintenance programs.
- Establish and monitor key maintenance performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and long-term asset management strategies.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and plant leadership to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and contractor performance.
Qualifications:
Required
- 6+ years of maintenance leadership and/or engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Corrugated experience
- Demonstrated success leading maintenance teams through supervisors, leads, or other frontline leaders.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, reliability practices, and maintenance planning.
- Experience driving improvements in safety, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
Preferred
- Paper, pulp, packaging, or other continuous-process manufacturing experience.
- Precision Maintenance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience leading maintenance organizations in large-scale industrial manufacturing facilities.
