Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Location: Colorado or Oklahoma (On‑Site)
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 base salary


Position Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost‑reduction initiatives across a diverse portfolio of direct materials. This role is ideal for a hands-on procurement leader with experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace environments. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will drive supplier performance, optimize total cost of ownership, and support long-term supply chain resilience for a growing, operations-focused organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies across assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with operational and production requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to support quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, service-level agreements, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships with a focus on performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct cost analyses, benchmark pricing, and drive cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Partner closely with operations, engineering, and finance to support new product introductions, production schedules, and inventory optimization.
  • Monitor market trends, material cost drivers, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Lead RFP/RFQ processes and implement structured supplier selection methodologies.
  • Support ongoing supplier audits and corrective action processes when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or industry certifications a plus).
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience within industrial manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Proven experience managing direct materials, complex supply categories, or engineered components.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting/negotiating supplier agreements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, understand manufacturing processes, and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving cost reductions, improving supplier performance, and building robust sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Excel/data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
