About the Role
We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our freight forwarding services in the French market. Based in Paris, this role is ideal for a self-starter who can independently generate business, manage initial operations, and build a strong client base. You'll be expected to treat the business as your own, targeting 10-20 containers per month in the early stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our freight forwarding services.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities to grow market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage the first few shipments to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, with a focus on ocean freight.
- Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry; experience in contract logistics is a plus.
- Native French speaker with fluent English communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities; hands-on.
- Operational know-how to manage early-stage shipments.
