CNC Manager - OEM
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced CNC Manager with strong exposure to injection molding and tooling to lead CNC machining operations in our toys OEM facility. This role plays an essential part in delivering high‑precision molds, supporting new product development, and driving machining excellence across the tooling department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the CNC machining team, including programmers, operators, and technicians.
- Oversee CNC machining processes for injection mould components, ensuring precision and adherence to tooling specifications.
- Provide technical leadership in mold-making, steel selection, tolerances, and machining strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Tooling, Injection Moulding, Product Engineering, and Project teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure mould quality and functionality.
- Optimise CNC workflow, including toolpath programming, fixture design, machining sequence, and cycle time reduction.
- Ensure high-quality mould surfaces and dimensional accuracy to meet toy industry requirements.
- Support injection moulding teams by addressing mold repair needs, modification requests, and urgent production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in machining technology, automation, tooling strategy, and cost optimisation.
- Maintain CNC equipment performance through preventive maintenance planning.
- Recruit, train, and develop CNC machining talent to elevate the team's technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling, Mold Technology, or related discipline.
- 8+ years CNC machining experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience in injection mold-making and knowledge of mold structures, cooling circuits, sliders/core mechanisms, and steel materials.
- Strong programming knowledge using software such as Mastercam, UG/NX, Powermill or similar.
- Solid understanding of injection molding processes and common mold-related issues (flash, warpage, wear, venting, etc.).
- Experience in the toys, consumer goods, or plastics OEM industries is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Mandarin required; English proficiency preferred.
