Continuous Improvement Manager
A Paper Goods Manufacturing client is seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen facilitation, and Six Sigma methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements that drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role requires hands-on experience with tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams, and a proven track record of leading impactful Kaizen events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and business processes.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to identify waste, reduce variation, and improve process flow.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.
- Develop and maintain FMEA documentation to proactively mitigate risks.
- Apply 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams, and other problem-solving tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction initiatives and improve productivity.
- Train and mentor employees on Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required.
- 5+ years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement role.
- Proven experience leading Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of Lean tools, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
