About the Role
We are seeking a Corporate Supply Chain Commodity Manager to join an enterprise-level supply chain team within the aerospace industry. This role is responsible for driving supplier performance, cost optimization, and commodity strategy across multiple manufacturing sites.
You will own key electronic component categories, ensuring strong execution across on-time delivery, quality, and cost, while supporting complex aerospace programs in a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do
- Drive year-over-year cost reductions and material savings aligned to business goals
- Lead supplier negotiations and long-term agreements to strengthen partnerships and ensure supply continuity
- Manage supplier performance across:
- On-time delivery (OTD)
- Quality
- Cost alignment
- Act as a central escalation point for supplier issues across multiple sites
- Lead root cause corrective actions (RCCA) to improve supplier accountability
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for electronic components supporting aerospace applications
- Drive supplier consolidation and risk mitigation strategies across the supply base
- Own relationships with key strategic suppliers, including executive-level reviews and scorecards
- Provide market intelligence and risk mitigation strategies within the electronics supply chain
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program teams
What You Bring
- 7-10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or commodity management
- Strong experience sourcing electronic components (semiconductors, passive components, PCBA inputs)
- Proven success driving cost savings, supplier negotiations, and performance improvements
- Experience managing supplier escalations across multi-site environments
- Familiarity with aerospace or other regulated industries
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
Nice to Have
- Aerospace & defense supply chain experience
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulatory environments
- APICS, CPSM, or related certifications
