Director of Procurement, North America
This leadership role drives strategic procurement across commercial business units, aligning supplier partnerships with business goals to improve performance and support growth. The position requires strong collaboration, innovation, and risk management to deliver top- and bottom-line impact within a large pharmaceuticals company. This is a hybrid role based out of either Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for U.S. business units (e.g., Vaccines, Oncology, Respiratory, Market Access, Digital, and Strategy).
- Lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with global procurement teams to optimize buying power.
- Manage large-scale, cross-functional projects and support new product launches.
- Champion digital transformation through AI-driven procurement tools and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of procurement experience.
- 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience in indirect procurement across marketing, sales, and tech categories.
- 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, complex supplier negotiations, and strategic planning.
- Experience influencing internal stakeholders
