Engineering Project Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading food manufacturing organization who is looking to add a remote Project Manager to their Engineering team. The Engineering Project Manager will oversee capital and process improvement projects from concept through completion. This role manages project safety, scope, budget, timelines, and cross‑functional collaboration while ensuring efficient execution across multiple plant locations. Ideal candidates bring a strong technical background in food, pharma, or CPG manufacturing and experience leading complex, multi‑site engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation through execution and close‑out.
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and coordinate with internal teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations.
- Collaborate with external partners such as equipment suppliers, contractors, and engineering service providers.
- Monitor project performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, FDA).
- Prepare and deliver routine project updates, status reports, and milestone communication to stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within engineering and project teams.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across various plant locations.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols and safe project execution across all sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 8+ years of equivalent project leadership experience in food, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing.
- Minimum 4 years of engineering project leadership experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (food, pharma, or CPG)
- Proven success managing capital or technical projects of $5M+ in scope.
- Ability to travel up to 50% based on project needs; must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport.
