Engineering Supervisor
Position Overview:
An aerospace component manufacturer is seeking an experienced engineer to lead process development and provide technical oversight within a specialized R&D environment. This role blends hands-on engineering work with team leadership, supporting a small group of technicians focused on advanced manufacturing technologies. Candidates must have direct experience with investment casting and a strong foundation in process improvement and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of skilled technicians in a development-focused manufacturing setting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to casting, inspection, and testing processes.
- Coordinate project deliverables with internal teams and external partners to meet key milestones.
- Develop and refine operating procedures, introduce new equipment, and optimize casting techniques.
- Collaborate with design, maintenance, and technical staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage shop schedules and align priorities with engineering and R&D goals.
- Apply data-driven methods to improve process control and deepen understanding of casting processes.
- Contribute to internal engineering initiatives and potential external collaborations.
- Perform tasks including process development, materials testing, supervision, and technical reporting.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support training and development of junior technical staff.
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and professional conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 2-7 years of relevant experience, with investment casting expertise required.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering concepts.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical software tools.
