General Manager
Position Summary
This role serves as the senior leader of a corrugated packaging operation, with full accountability for plant performance, financial results, and customer satisfaction. The position oversees daily manufacturing execution while driving strategic growth initiatives, including commercial alignment and regional expansion. Success requires strong operational leadership combined with business acumen in a converting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all plant functions (production, safety, quality, maintenance, and supply chain) while ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment.
- Own site-level financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and overall profitability, with full P&L accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve margins.
- Develop and execute business plans that align operational performance with short- and long-term growth objectives.
- Partner with sales leadership to expand market presence, support key accounts, and align production with customer demand and service expectations.
- Build and develop a high-performing team while fostering cross-functional collaboration across operations, logistics, and commercial teams.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including plant-level responsibility.
- Prior experience in corrugated packaging, box plants, or converting operations strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing financial performance, including P&L ownership, budgeting, and cost optimization.
- Experience partnering with commercial or sales teams to support growth initiatives and customer relationships.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
