My client is looking to bring a Lead Project Engineer to their team in Pasadena, TX.
They are the leading developer and supplier of innovative polymers, including synthetic elastomers, specialty chemicals and other selected products used in countless applications worldwide.
They develop superior elastomers for the hottest parts of automotive engines, polymers for longer lasting laser printer rolls, synthetic rubber to survive oil wells' most aggressive fluids and cyclo-olefin plastics for today's advanced medical and electronic applications.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for the planning, procurement, execution and completion of mid-to-large projects. Supervise project field installation and startups to ensure established safety rules and procedures are followed, projects are completed on time and within approved project cost.
Other responsibilities include:
- Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing projects including project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Documents plan, assembles appropriation request, and obtains organizational project approvals
- Prepares engineering designs and work specifications
- Reviews and approves drawings including flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs, layout drawings, and vendor submittals
- Develops RFP packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics.
- Monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
- Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, and incorporates Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) into design
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 7 year's relevant experience in project management in the petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
- PSM experience preferred.
