Role Overview
As the Logistics Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the logistics strategy to ensure seamless transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will oversee large-scale logistics networks, manage budgets, and lead a team to deliver cost-effective and high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the company's logistics strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations across multiple regions.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Optimize supply chain flows to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and sustainability standards.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for logistics performance and continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics managers and specialists.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives within logistics processes.
- Manage annual logistics budgets and deliver cost savings without compromising quality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of international transportation, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale logistics networks and budgets.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics software (SAP, Oracle, TMS).
