Our client, a leading energy infrastructure organisation is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to support the development and execution of procurement strategies across renewable energy projects, with a focus on wind and hydroelectric assets. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy initiatives in a dynamic, international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Procurement Leadership: Manage procurement activities for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
- Strategy Development: Design and implement sourcing strategies that optimise value, mitigate risk, and support long-term project success.
- Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance on public procurement frameworks and ensure adherence to applicable legal standards.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Lead negotiations, oversee contract execution, and manage claims and supplier performance.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global supply markets to identify trends, innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with technical and commercial objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Background: Technical or engineering education, complemented by formal procurement training or certification.
- Experience: Demonstrated success in procurement roles within the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors- preferably with exposure to renewable energy.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and analytic capabilities
- Familiarity with procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, MS Office 365)
- Fluency in English and German; additional languages are an asset
- Attributes: Strategic thinker, proactive communicator, and team-oriented mindset
- Mobility: Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related engagements
