Quality Manager
Our client is an established paper & pulp manufacturing company that is searching for a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager works under the direction of senior site leadership to drive quality performance across the facility. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all quality initiatives and serves as a key member of both the Quality Assurance team and the plant leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day‑to‑day quality operations, ensuring products meet established specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze quality control test data, communicating findings to production leaders and guiding timely corrective actions.
- Intervene in production processes when critical defects arise to prevent further nonconformance.
- Lead root‑cause investigations, develop corrective/preventive action plans, and track effectiveness over time.
- Maintain and enhance quality documentation, including procedures, test methods, sampling plans, and SOPs.
- Conduct training for production teams on quality standards, measurement techniques, and process controls.
- Verify incoming materials, in‑process checks, and finished product quality through established inspection protocols.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying quality trends, recommending process enhancements, and partnering with operations and engineering teams.
- Participate in new product or process introductions to ensure quality considerations are integrated early.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years manufacturing experience in paper & pulp industry required.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to distinguish color variations and fine visual details.
