Regional Supply Chain Manager
Our client seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Supply Chain Manager to lead supply chain operations across the Americas region. This role is responsible for overseeing the full supply chain lifecycle-from demand planning and production scheduling to inventory control and logistics. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supply chain strategy, operational excellence, and team leadership to ensure seamless product flow, cost efficiency, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Design and implement regional supply chain strategies that align with broader business goals.
- Lead demand forecasting and capacity planning to meet customer needs while optimizing costs.
- Analyze performance metrics and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
Production & Scheduling
- Manage production planning and scheduling processes to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize plant capacity and reduce lead times.
Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee regional logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable service.
- Monitor delivery performance and resolve any disruptions proactively.
Inventory Management
- Develop and enforce inventory policies to maintain healthy stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Track inventory turnover and aging to improve efficiency and working capital utilization.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, including planners, schedulers, and logistics coordinators.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain effectiveness.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on performance, risks, and improvement plans.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment across functions.
- Contribute to regional and global supply chain initiatives and system integrations.
- Support the adoption of digital tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA) to enhance performance.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (especially SAP S/4 HANA) and Excel.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics regulations and trade compliance.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel regionally (10-25%).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
