Rotating Equipment Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Specialist to provide technical expertise and support for the maintenance, reliability, and performance optimization of rotating machinery within our client's chemical manufacturing facility. This role focuses on critical assets such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes, ensuring safe and efficient operations through effective troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical oversight for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment
Develop and implement reliability programs to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
Support turnaround planning and execution, including inspection and refurbishment of rotating assets
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on equipment upgrades and capital projects
Maintain documentation, specifications, and performance history for critical rotating equipment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience with rotating equipment in a chemical, petrochemical, or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of vibration analysis, alignment, lubrication systems, and failure modes
Experience with reliability tools such as RCFA, FMEA, and condition monitoring
Familiarity with industry standards (API, ANSI, ISO)
