Senior Category Lead Technology
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Category Manager to lead technology category operations within a defined market. This role is critical in executing global and regional strategies at a local level, ensuring value delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and supplier performance across the Technology category.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of global/regional Technology category strategy at the country/market unit level, including developing and managing local category teams and initiatives.
- Implement global and regional sourcing strategies within the local market, driving cost savings, service excellence, and compliance.
- Support local business planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
- Manage pipeline planning and forecasting of sourcing activities.
- Implement supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective contract implementation and usage of preferred buying channels.
- Design RFPs and conduct competitive sourcing processes.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement or category management, including project leadership in IT and Technology categories.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organization with strong stakeholder and team management skills (onshore & near-shore).
- Strong analytical, presentation, communication (written & oral), interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proven relationship management skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adopt a flexible approach, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree and fluency in English.
