Compensation: $220,000-$250,000 base + bonus

My client is a global ingredients and biochemicals company seeking a Senior Director of Global Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management across international operations. This role is critical to driving procurement excellence, innovation, and sustainability-particularly within the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead global procurement strategy across direct and indirect categories, with a focus on food-related commodities.
- Manage a procurement portfolio exceeding $300 million, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Oversee supplier relationships and contract negotiations across multiple regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Implement and optimize SAP systems for procurement operations.
- Drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation in sourcing practices.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global procurement team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of procurement leadership experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven success managing procurement spend of $300 million or more.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Deep experience in commodities sourcing and supplier innovation.
- Proficiency in SAP and global procurement systems.
- Preferred educational backgrounds: Chemical Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
