Job Description: Senior Logistics & Distribution Manager, EMEA

Overview

Our client, a leading consumer goods organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics & Distribution Manager to oversee end‑to‑end logistics operations across the EMEA region. This role is responsible for strategic network planning, transportation management, 3PL performance, and ensuring best‑in‑class service levels to customers and commercial teams. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, cost optimisation, and regional harmonisation while leading cross-functional initiatives that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Logistics & Distribution Leadership

  • Lead and optimise EMEA logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, and regional inventory flows.
  • Develop and execute regional logistics strategies aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the performance of 3PLs and distribution partners to ensure service, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and corporate standards.

Network & Operations Management

  • Manage the regional distribution network, identifying opportunities for consolidation, re-routing, and optimisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Coordinate with demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure efficient product availability.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management, transportation planning, and distribution centre performance.

Cost, Performance & KPI Ownership

  • Define, monitor, and report logistics KPIs, ensuring visibility and improvement in OTIF, stock accuracy, transportation costs, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Lead cost‑saving projects across warehousing, transportation, and packaging optimisation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics service providers.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as the senior point of contact for logistics and distribution across EMEA for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team (regional and local logistics functions).
  • Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain leadership to drive strategic planning and budgeting for logistics activities.

Technology & Digital Transformation

  • Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP, WMS, TMS, and visibility tools.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years' experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain roles within consumer goods, FMCG, retail, or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-country or regional supply chain operations (EMEA experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record in 3PL management, transportation optimisation, and distribution network design.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS/TMS tools; SAP experience a plus.
  • Fluent English and Polish Fluent
