Senior Procurement Manager
About the Role
This role is responsible for leading strategic, operational, and tactical procurement activities across multiple locations within a designated region. Partnering closely with Category Managers and operations leadership, you will execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive competitive bidding and contract negotiations to deliver cost savings, supply continuity, quality improvements, and operational efficiencies.
You will develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term sourcing initiatives aligned with business objectives while leveraging regional supplier networks to reduce total cost of ownership and identify spend consolidation opportunities. Acting as a key liaison between Procurement and Operations, you will collaborate closely with regional executive leadership, including the Regional SVP and General Managers, to ensure sourcing strategies support both local and global business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic, operational, and tactical procurement of goods and services across multiple sites, including manufacturing plants, terminals, and other regional operations.
- Serve as the primary procurement partner for regional leadership, providing guidance and support on sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Execute sourcing strategies in alignment with regional and global procurement objectives, driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, service, and supply reliability.
- Identify and deliver savings opportunities through supplier negotiations, competitive bidding processes, contract management, and spend optimization initiatives.
- Partner with Category Management teams to align local purchasing activities with broader category strategies and business priorities.
- Manage regional supplier relationships and negotiate contracts focused on pricing, service levels, quality standards, and operational requirements.
- Support and develop procurement, purchasing, and warehouse personnel where applicable, while overseeing import-related procurement activities.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices, serving as a regional resource for procurement training and compliance.
- Lead and support RFx processes, stakeholder alignment, and purchasing approvals within delegated authority limits.
- Monitor procurement performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), track realized savings, and communicate results to both operational and executive leadership teams.
- Identify compliance gaps, address root causes, and ensure adherence to applicable laws, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Promote and champion a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across all procurement and operational activities.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as needed in support of business objectives.
