Senior Procurement Specialist - Electronic Components
We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Specialist to lead sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management for electronic components, metal materials, and mechanical parts across Asia. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of the electronics and mechanical supply ecosystem, and a proven track record of building high‑performing supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components, metals, and mechanical parts across Asia Pacific.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality performance, and supply reliability.
- Drive cost‑optimization initiatives, contract negotiations, and long‑term supply agreements.
- Monitor market trends, material cost movements, and industry developments to guide procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support new product introductions and ongoing production needs.
- Resolve supply issues, secure contingency plans, and manage risks related to lead times, capacity, and geopolitical dynamics.
- Track and report on KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing cycle efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, sustainability standards, and global procurement governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience within electronics, metal components, or precision mechanical parts.
- Strong understanding of Asia-based manufacturing and supply markets (China, Taiwan, Korea, ASEAN).
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience managing medium-large supplier portfolios.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools.
- Fluency of English and Mandarin Chinese is a must.
