Out client - A leading investment firm is seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to support business development and origination efforts across its Consumer and Technology verticals. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of relationship management, deal sourcing, marketing, and data strategy within a dynamic private markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Maintain CRM systems to track interactions, pipelines, and reporting
- Leverage internal networks and tools to identify warm introductions to target companies
- Coordinate with bankers and intermediaries to support conferences and inbound opportunities
- Track executive movements and maintain advisor databases
- Support trip planning, meeting optimization, and investor conference logistics
Pipeline & Deal Support
- Manage and update the vertical's target pipeline
- Participate in vertical meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed
- Track competitive deal activity and sponsor portfolios
- Assist in screening target companies and conducting ad hoc analysis
- Share best practices across business units
Marketing & Events
- Maintain marketing materials and vertical-specific pitch decks
- Help plan and execute executive events and conferences
- Manage attendee logistics and provide on-site event support
Technology & Data
- Collaborate with research, data science, and IT teams to identify new sourcing tools
- Support training and implementation of new systems across the investment group
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales operations, or a related field
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM tools and platforms like Pitchbook or Grata is a plus
- Familiarity with private equity or finance
- Interest in AI and data-driven business tools
