Seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth within the Adult Nutrition and Community Feeding market. This is a strategic, highly visible role focused on developing new business opportunities, securing large-scale contracts, and helping build a rapidly expanding business channel.

This opportunity is ideal for a sales leader who understands government-funded nutrition programs, healthcare nutrition services, managed care, or community feeding initiatives and has a proven track record of navigating complex procurement processes and winning multimillion-dollar contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for adult nutrition and community feeding programs.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across government, healthcare, and community-based organizations.
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders, funding agencies, healthcare systems, managed care organizations, municipalities, and nonprofit partners.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, including RFPs, RFQs, and public-sector procurement processes.
  • Develop strategies aligned with federal, state, county, and local funding programs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, nutrition, supply chain, and executive leadership teams to create customer solutions.
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to support continued business growth.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account management experience.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles with institutional customers.
  • Demonstrated success securing contracts from $500K to $10M+.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement, public-sector contracting, and formal bid processes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executive decision-makers across both public and private sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and help establish a new market segment.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates should have direct experience in one or more of the following:

  • Senior Nutrition Programs, Area Agencies on Aging, or Meals on Wheels
  • Managed Care, Medicaid, or CalAIM
  • Healthcare nutrition services
  • Government-funded social services
  • Behavioral health, recovery, or community support programs
  • Transitional housing or homelessness services
  • Institutional foodservice
  • Community feeding programs
  • Public-sector procurement and government contracting
