Sr. Manager Strategic Sourcing, IT Services
Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing - IT Services to lead sourcing initiatives and vendor management for IT-related services and solutions. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating complex contracts, and driving cost optimization while ensuring alignment with business goals and IT requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for IT services including software, hardware, telecom, cloud, managed services, and consulting.
- Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives and deliver value.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and spend data to identify sourcing opportunities.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage key supplier relationships and performance, including SLAs, KPIs, and risk mitigation.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance reviews in collaboration with Legal and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure contracts meet business, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and business units to understand needs and deliver sourcing solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on sourcing best practices and market intelligence.
Cost Optimization & Risk Management
- Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities through strategic sourcing, demand management, and process improvements.
- Mitigate risks related to supplier performance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
- Ensure adherence to procurement governance and reporting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a focus on IT services and technology.
- Strong knowledge of IT categories including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software licensing, and professional services.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
