Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a new dynamic mechanical engineering team. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for applying engineering principles to complete technical assignments and projects independently while also collaborating across departments to resolve process and product issues.
Responsibilities
- Enhance manufacturing capabilities through innovative ideas and methods
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and processes.
- Analyze recurring errors and develop solutions to reduce downtime.
- Interface with operators and team leaders to monitor and correct process fluctuations.
- Manage new equipment introduction, including financial justification and tracking project spending.
- Develop training documentation and conduct initial training for production personnel.
- Document projects using project and change management tools.
- Implement process or equipment improvements to enhance product performance and quality.
- Support the transfer of new technology from development to production.
- Ensure new technology is repeatable in a production environment.
- Complete all necessary production and maintenance documentation
- Achieve departmental goals in cost reduction, productivity, process optimization, capacity increases, scrap reduction, and product enhancements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and apply Six Sigma methodology.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead medium and large-scale equipment-focused projects.
- Experience with SolidWorks/Inventor and AutoCAD software.
