Strategic Buyer
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to join our key client, within the aviation industry. Based in Zurich, this pivotal role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with both client and organisational goals. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep understanding of aviation supply chains to drive value, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans specific to the aviation sector.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
Manage and enhance supplier relationships to ensure performance and reliability.
Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the client's teams to align procurement activities with project and operational requirements.
Monitor supplier compliance with aviation industry regulations and company standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 year's experience in procurement or supply chain management within the aviation industry (essential).
Strong understanding of aviation-specific regulatory requirements and industry dynamics.
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
