Strategic Sourcing Manager - Food/Bev

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across our food and beverage categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, ensure supply continuity, and support innovation and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the food & beverage supply market, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key food and beverage categories.
  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
  • Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and risk factors to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, and innovation.
  • Monitor and report on category performance, KPIs, and compliance.
  • Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in the food & beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of food ingredients, packaging, co-manufacturing, and commodity markets.
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with global sourcing and supplier development.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices in sourcing.
  • Familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
