An international logistics company is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join its team in Belgium. This is a strategic commercial role focused on expanding the company's footprint in the European logistics market, with a particular emphasis on liquid bulk transport and intermodal logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the European logistics sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the liquid bulk segment.
- Design and implement intermodal transport solutions, integrating road, rail, and sea freight.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics services that meet client needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in European logistics, with a strong understanding of regional markets and trade flows.
- Proven track record in liquid bulk transport, ideally involving chemical, fuel, or food-grade products.
- Practical experience coordinating intermodal transport operations across multiple modes.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to independently drive business growth.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to client engagement.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
