Logistics Dispatch Specialist - Liquids

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of sales orders across multiple locations, ensuring product availability, proper driver and equipment alignment, and optimized delivery routes in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Review open order reports and collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and transportation partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal teams and external vendors regarding delivery status, delays, and evolving customer requirements.
• Oversee dispatch operations within D365, including order tracking, documentation, and electronic ticketing processes to support accurate and timely billing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase dispatch efficiency, maximize resource utilization, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Provide support during urgent or unexpected situations (e.g., equipment breakdowns, schedule changes), including occasional after-hours coordination when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and established work procedures.
• Perform all responsibilities in alignment with the Business Management System (BMS) and in accordance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
• Complete additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation coordination, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of DOT and safety regulations is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems is required; familiarity with D365 is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting demands.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate dispatch and delivery records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
