Senior Category Manager, Technology
A leading investment firm is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead global strategies for enterprise technology spend, including software, IT security, hardware, and professional services. This role provides end-to-end category leadership for large, complex portfolios and partners closely with IT and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies and multi-year roadmaps.
- Lead sourcing initiatives: spend analysis, RFx, negotiations, and contracting.
- Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance.
- Implement procurement automation and guided buying solutions (e.g., punch-outs, catalogs).
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage supplier ecosystems.
- Negotiate contracts and optimize commercial terms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years in strategic sourcing or category management, focused on enterprise technology.
- Expertise in software licensing, IT services contracting, and supplier management.
- Experience with procurement automation and P2P optimization.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in procurement transformation and global, matrixed environments.
- Familiarity with platforms like Coupa, Ariba, SAP, or similar.
